故事描述在(❕)英国录影带盛行的(😨)时代，由于(🧖)暴力(🌕)电影的泛滥，使(shǐ )得电影审查员(yuán )的(🐪)工作日益(yì(🀄) )沉重虽(suī )然全校(🌙)都知道他俩的(🙍)关系(🧗)，当时当着大家(🍖)的(🍰)面(🎞)，他还是没有那么(🔨)嚣(🈲)张。可就是这(🎺)(zhè )犹豫和纠结，就(♐)已经(jīng )狠狠扎进她(🌦)心(xīn )里也不(🎸)知(🕸)道(👷)那个人，是怎么碰到追踪我们的(de )人，把他(🍍)们领到你住的(de )地方。三人剑招几乎一模一(🗒)样(📪)，但是配合之间却是摸不透风(🖱)，仿佛暗合某(🐾)(mǒu )种规矩(jǔ )，剑光交织(zhī )之间形(📺)成某(🗳)种奇(📿)妙的场域，让(🚉)他陷入其中颇(pō(✝) )有种如同(👩)陷(xiàn )入泥潭(🥠)般(🔘)的感(🕕)觉。你说你恨我，我(💈)不明(míng )白，为什(🐈)么？还(hái )有(🚡)分(🐮)手，为什(shí )么说是我主动？雪岩，我从(🦁)来(🌑)没有过(guò(🎦) )。PBS十多(⏹)年前曾播过自己(jǐ )拍摄的剧集，但后(🍾)来只播(🥩)英国进(jìn )口剧(jù )集，如今又打算播自(🛍)己拍摄的剧(⭕)集再说张秀娥回了家，犹(yóu )豫了(le )半天最终让(ràng )张春桃在(🛐)(zà(⚪)i )下面(miàn )扶着(❕)(zhe )梯子，她自己爬上(😯)了(le )屋顶。TheTARDISlandsinLondononChristmasEve,1851andalmostimmediatelytheDoctorhearshisnamebeingcalled.WhenhemeetsthewomanshoutingforhimshefailstorecognisehimandcontinuescallinguntilanothermanarrivesandclaimstobetheDoctorandacknowledgesthewoman,Rosita,ashiscompanion.TheDoctorthenattemptstohelpthenewcomerlassoaman-sizedog-likecreaturewhichhasacyber-mask,butitdragsthemboththroughtheupperfloorofawarehouseuntilRositacutstherope,savingthembothfromplungingthroughahighwindow.Thenewcomerexplainshehaslosthismemory,andtheDoctorassumesheisalaterincarnation,andfollowshimtothehouseofamurderedvicar,wherethenewDoctorsaysheisinvestigatingthemurderofthevicarandateachercalledJacksonLake,andthathismemorywaswipedwhenhewasattackedbytheCybermen.AtthehousetheDoctorfindsprimitivememorydevicescalledinfostampsandsaystheyhavebeenusedbytheCybermenbecauseofthelackoftechnologyin19thcenturyLondon.TwoCybermenattacktheDoctors,butaredestroyedwhenthenewDoctorsetsoffafeedbackloopinoneoftheinfostamps,somethinghesaidwasthecauseofhismemoryloss.ThenewDoctortakestheDoctorbacktohisbase,inthestablesofanInn,andshowshimhisTARDIS,aballoon(TetheredAerialRelease,DesignedInStyle).TheDoctorfindsanotherinfostampinthenewDoctorsluggage,thisonefilledwithinformationabouthim,andconcludesthatthenewDoctorisreallyJacksonLake,buthismemoryhasbeenover-writtenwithdetailsoftheDoctorslifebytheinfostamp,whichitselfmayhavebeenstolenfromtheDaleks.Lakesmemorystartstoreturn,andheremembershiswifebeingkilledandhissonbeingtaken.Meanwhile,MercyHartigan,aworkhousematronhasjoinedtheCybermenandhadthemkillthevicarsoallthelocalgentlemenwouldattendhisfuneral;shearriveswiththeCybermentoselectfourofthem(therestarekilled)soshecanhavethechildrenintheirworkhouses(includingLakesson)asalabourforcefortheCybermen,whoarebuildingaCyberKingtoruleEarth.TheDoctorisunabletostoptheriseofthe200-foottallCyberKing,whichiscontrolledbyareluctantly-conditionedMissHartigan,butrescuesthechildren.HethenusesLakesballoonTARDIStogetuptotheCyberKingthrone,whereMissHartiganisheld.Hebreaksherconditioning,andherhumanangerdestroystheCybermen.TheDoctorusestheCybermensowntimetraveldevicetodragtheCyberKingbackintotheVoid,savingLondon.Thedangerover,Lake,hismemorynowreturning,hiresRositaasnursemaidforhissonandgetstoseeinsidetherealTARDIS,beforeinsistingthattheDoctorjoinsthemforChristmasdinner.
